Another incident. The students here are trashing the name of the school. Vandalism in toilets, tables, etcetera. When will it stop? ---- Also, please, don't mind my reviews. I'm in the upper levels, so to speak, if that satisfies your curiosity. Above 8th grade.
Welcome to Westfield. Recent suicide attempt, yet no one in the administration ever thought of discussing why we shouldn't do that. No English month, even though it was November. The facilities are CRAP. The toilets are horrible, computer lab looks like a mess of wiring, teachers don't even get proper faculty rooms, and the problem lies mainly within the admin. ADMIN ADMIN ADMIN. They're slow and ineffective. ---- I'm a student in Westfield right now, and I don't give a flying f*** if they choose to do detective work to find out who I am. The teachers are alright, except for a few, who obviously exhibit signs of favoritism. For this entire year, there has not been a single physical activity (sports) because the gym had not yet finished completion. Oh, also, food is 60 pesos. 60 pesos for food and a tiny viand. Sure, that's delightful. They wash their plates just beside the staircase upstairs. Seems hygienic to me. 30 pesos for lemonade, which looks canned to me. 25 for a bottle of C2, you could get one for tons cheaper outside.
can someone please disclose around how much is the tuition fee here for incoming grade 1? thanks!
Around 51k or above
Can someone PLEASE tell their guy Filipino teacher to stop bullying students because it's not even funny, it's degrading and immature. He doesn't know the lines he shouldn't cross. It's NOT okay to make a running gag about students and also calling them animals and making fun of their weight. Also, Prom 2017 cotillion? We all know what you arranged and it's honestly disgusting. Respect = gone. Not funny.
The school doens't really have a problem with their education. In fact, it is one of the most advanced schools in Bf. The teachers there are exceptionally competent especially their math and social studies teachers except for some very few which can't really be avoided. What I do find as the downside of this school is that it is a VERY VERY stressful environment. But beore that, I would like to explain the facilities and where the tuition fees go (this is for the school building by the way, because I am in high school sy 2015-2016, so its pretty recent and as accurate as it can get). 1.) The building is relatively small compared to other schools around Bf. I've been in 5 schools so far, and this was the smallest one I've been too. The gym is really disappointing (if you're the athletic type). There is also not enough space for all the students to fit. During lunch, we still have to fight for the chairs and tables. They don't allow us to eat inside the classroom so we have to bear with the scorching heat of being cramped up in one area. 2.) THIS SCHOOL IS PROFIT ORIENTED. When they give us the billing statement of account quarterly, I noticed that they don't give the breakdown of our tuition fee. It wouldv'e been okay if we see any improvements in the infrastructure and all, but they can't even provide descent flushes for the cr and enough space for the students. 3.) Their field trip sucks. Considering that this is a "SCIENCE-ORIENTED SCHOOL", their field trips don't justify the name of the school. We are paying a relatively high miscellaneous fee, and all we get is Paradizoo? Wow. 4.) A lot of students are already leaving for grade 11. They don't want to be tied with Westfield anymore. In all honesty, I've never seen students ateempting suicide just because of a school. Westfield is not for everybody. Unless your child can handle the great stress and pressure, there's a high chance he or she will lose it. Another thing is that they don't want to let the students of high school go. Whenever we would ask for recommendation letters, they would always find excuses not to give them to us and they would question why we want to leave. More than half of the population of grade 6 is leaving as well which is why they are in deep, deep trouble right now. 5.) They don't care for the students' welfare. Have you seen their clinic? I forgot to mention this awhile ago, but they really don't have the facilitites for students to learn and explore more. Their laboratories are obviously low budget, and yet they are offering STEM. Another thing is that they don't really care anymore whether your'e learning or not. They just want to finish the topics, and then they are wondering why there are cheating students in Westfield. I'm telling you right now, wherever your section, even if it's the so-called "star section" cheating is very very rampant. Everyone, and I mean everyone does it. It's up to you to believe me or not. Last bu definitely not the least, their "office", or "admin" (as they like to call it) is VERY VERY UNRELIABLE. There staffs are liars. I'm saying born out of my own exeperience with the office. Students are going leaps and bounds so as not to get caught by the office which is why instead of student following their rules, they go against it just so they have a little bit of freedom with them. Their answer for each and every dismeanor? Pink form. Immediate deduction. They won't and will never listen to you because they are always right.\ SO it's up to you if you would still go for Westfield after this very long post.
Our teacher told us, "Shut up, stupid. Go to hell." Thanks. Lol.
Hello po! Ako po si George, isa po sa mga students ng Westfield. Graduating na po ako sa High School at next year ay papasok na po ako sa UP Manila sa kursong BS Biology. First & foremost, I respect your opinions, especially yours Ivan. But I came here to tell you that you're wrong about most of the things you said, especially about the Math teachers of my school. Sure naman ako, nare-recognize mo yung fact na nagu-undergo ng screening ang administration ng Westfield (As much as any other school could) para sa mga magiging teachers nila. And believe me if I told you that we have a VERY COMPETENT faculty.  Second of all, I like the fact that some of you even acknowledged one of our students being a Star Scholar in DLSU. That's what Westfield does: It brings the best out of every student; It turns them into remarkable individuals that show promise for the future of the country.  Third, yes we do have good facilities.  Fourth & most importantly, ang environment ng Westfield ay napaka-student friendly. So I don't think mahihirapan masyado ang mga anak ninyo na makapag-adjust sa ambiance ng school. Trust me, I know. I have a classmate named Micha & she just moved to Westfield this school year & we welcomed her with open arms. Hindi naman po ganoon ka-strict yung faculty, but my advice is not to get on their bad side either.  You may look up my Facebook account kasi nandoon po ang ilan sa mga acheivements na nahakot ko bilang estudyante ng Westfield. So mga parents, don't hesitate to choose Westfield. I'm not endorsing the school on a promise, pero at least dala ko ang pride ng school ko kapag dumating ang panahon na mag-aral na ako sa UP next school year.

For the sake of other people looking for ACTUAL reviews of the school, I will dissect every little crooks and nooks of the school and give you my honest opinion. I have been in this school for six years. Grade 2 til 7. I am a current student in the seventh grade. Now, I can give you reviews on both elementary and middle school. Academics - I would say it's above average. Of course, some educators aren't very good but the rest are great. Especially for English, Science, and Mathematics. Although, the issue is the Investigatory Project. It may give your child difficulty. The researching and re-editing, the printing and the defense. But, I'm sure it's manageable. The teachers are quite helpful. Oh, it's easy for the grade schoolers. You pass even if you don't submit a single thing. But High School, you repeat. Cafeteria - The food they serve are limited. Fried chicken nuggets, fried chicken, fried porkchop, tocino, eggs, fried rice, garlic rice, burgers, hotdogs, and chocolate shakes. Mentos, Other Menthol Candy, flat tops, chocnut, etc. It needs more variety and healthier choices. Well, there are little sections of vegetables but that's about it. Another thing, during High School, your child might not able to eat. Not enough space to eat. You either eat in front of the office or in the bathroom stall. I have experienced both. It needs more tables and chairs. And because of the food's limit. Many buy food from outside the school, the guards being bossed around. Cleanliness - The school practices CLAYGO. (Clean As You Go) It's present. But when there's a broken trash bin, they won't replace it. Also, for the grade school, it barely has hand soap and toilet paper. Teachers - Now this will be based on experience. Some grade school teachers slacked off and were very bias towards their students. But that's personal. High School is far more professional. Strictness - Grade School is NOT strict at all. No ID? Come right in. Forgotten neck tie? Come right in. No book? It's fine. Forgot all your books and notebook? I'll just write a short note in your logbook. High School? Well, if you forget your ID and Necktie, you're sent to the office. Dyed your hair? You will be sent home. No book or notebook? Pink sheet. (Or Pink ship, rather) No Investigatory Project? You know what, even I don't want to know. Sportsfest - If your child joined a lot of sports, be sure you have money to spare. The gymnasium is too small, both grade school and high school. It's a simple kind of Sportsfest, nothing really special. Activities - It only has Glee club and MTG. And I'm annoyed by the Glee club because you will be told to stay til' 5 pm for practice but then the coach does NOT show up. MTG, obviously for Math. And, that's about it. I have never heard about the Newspaper club so far. I only received one copy three years ago. I wish the school has book clubs, bands, stage plays, and etc. CCTVs - I honestly don't think they work. Things keep on getting lost and nobody ever knows who steals them. The CCTVs don't work. Or maybe they don't like to help their students. Computer & Science Labs and Libraries - The labs are good but the Libraries are not. It lacks many more much needed books and the borrowing system is flawed. It's easy to steal a book. That's all I can cover today.
Oh and one of my favorites in High School is the English week. A great program. If you're fond of English like I am. It also stays to it's Filipino roots and gives fun activities during Linggo Ng Wika.
No thats not Sir Oscar..  obviously
Can someone help us out, for the sake of enlightment, the quality of education here at Westfield? I am concerned about the next 6 years of my daughter if ever we choose to enrol her in this school. A bias and genuine reviews are greatly appreciated. Thanks! ;-)
Elementary division is ok but the highschool division is a bit advanced. We have Statistics for Grade 7 (I guess other schools have it as well). They offer a scholarship program for grade 7 enrollees but most who passed are from other schools. Theres not really much extra curricular activities except Glee Club,MTG (Im not sure if this is an activity, oh well) and the newspaper club (New applicants will submit their forms in the mid of the schoolyear though, so youhave to wait until around second quarter, oh and only in highschool). Your child might be stressed out with their IP though, esp. in HS Dep as you do it individually from 1st year- 4th. Theres also IP for GS Dep but its fairly easy to pass.
Think more than twice before enrolling your child in Westfield Science Oriented School in BF Resort Las Pinas. WHY? The school does not deliver what it claims. Its name is misleading. This school is not different from other more affordable schools. Yes, your child will learn something from Westfield. There's no argument about that. And, the facility is considerably good. BUT, BUT, the thing is the quality of education that this school gives is just the same with other schools with more affordable tuition fees.  Parents out there, Westfield is not worth your money.  Singaporean math they would boast? What is that? The teachers in math sucks. They don't teach that much. They depend on those loads of assignment so their pupils are already taught by their tutors or parents before they discuss those difficult topics in class. The management cannot do anything with regard to their ineffficient MATH teachers. Of course, they protect the image of the school, as well as their teachers', more than the welfare of the students. It's up to you parents. Again, THINK MORE THAN TWICE BEFORE GOING TO THIS SCHOOL.
Actually, as opposed to Ivan, I recommend your child to attend this school. I know a lot of people who graduated and are currnetly studying here (Even the scholar of DLSU :D ) I asked the people I know who graduated here if they have a hard time in college and one of them replied " No, its easy in here, I wonder why my classmates say its so hard, I remember learning the topics in Junior year!" And I asked a student from Westfield if they have many assignments in Math and he said " No po, we have 2-3 assignment in Math per week". So I guess Ivan's comment about their loads of assignment is not true BUT maybe he comes from another batch. Well, because the teachers now are different from now. Ivan, what batch were you in? Maybe I've met or heard you before :)
Hahah, don't believe Ivan, did you know, one of the students from WSOS got accepted in a scholarship in DLSU?? Haha, bet you didn't. Out of a hundred students,a student from Westfield got chosen. So its impossible for the Math teachers to suck. If the Math teachers suck, that student who got accepted in the scholarship wouldn't be accepted, right?? Ivan is probably insecure about the school's success. Ivan, you are such a retard, next time, if you try to bash a school, make sure you have evidence.. Besides, how do YOU know that WSOS's Math teachers suck? You are just creating lame, dumb stories. If you want to create stories, make sure you are good at making one. You would probably fail in being a journalist for false information and fail in being a writer. The only thing you would be good at is sucking a dildo and shoving it in your anus and get it out by puking. :P
Excuse me sir but are you a graduate of Westfield Science Oriented School? Is your child studying there? If you answer yes to one of the questions, then I respect your observations on the Math teachers and the school's management. But if you answer no to neither of the questions asked, then I have many questions for you: 1. HOW can you prove that the school's Mathematical system isn't excellent? 2. How can you exactly tell if the Math teachers are giving loads of assignments to their pupils? 3. How can you say that the Math teachers "suck"? And lastly... HOW CAN YOU SAY THAT THE SCHOOL'S MANAGEMENT PROTECTS THE IMAGE OF THE SCHOOL AND TEACHERS MORE THAN THE STUDENTS'S WELFARE?? If you can answer these questions, then you have nothing to do woth your life except for bashing this school and causing a NUCLEAR BOMB to the school's reputation. Good day sir and good luck with your life.
Yeah right! You have read my post. The warning is CLEAR. It's up to you if you want to believe or not. Just to clarify things... What I wrote was just a SUGGESTION. So, if you are a parent or an employee maybe of WSOS Las Pinas, it's still your choice. ARE WE CLEAR? By the way, what I said to Madam Tangnamo goes to you as well...
sir, I'm about to tell you that your school sucks , you should demolish that piece of crap of that school of yours
Sir Tangco, is that you? :O
